Gentran Integration Suite developer (2-3 years’ experience minimum)

Skills/Experience:
• Experience with IBM SI version 5.1 or Sterling GIS (mapping, BPML, testing, and support)
• Mapping using the XML standard
• Integrating with supplier networks using https
• Web Services Design / Development
• Strong experience in EDI Mapping
• EAI integration experience (a plus)
• Experience developing interfaces between various applications and systems
• UNIX / Linux (navigation and VI editing)
• VAN Communications and Troubleshooting
• Must be pro-active in nature with demonstrated problem-solving abilities
• Excellent Customer Focus with the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of customers (technical and non-technical)
• Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Desired Experience:
■Minimum of 5 years experience of Oracle database administration in the UNIX environment
■Extensive experience in database design, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, database backup and recovery, SQL statement tuning, and Unix shell scripting
■Extensive experience with RMAN, OEM/GRID Control, and Data Guard
■Extensive experience in Oracle database upgrade from 9i/10g to 11g and Character Set conversion and migration
■Strong experience with database compliance, security, and auditing
■Strong knowledge in the area of Unix /Linux Serves and various storage types like DMX, HDS, and NAS
■Excellent verbal and written communication skills
■Ability to perform project management roles as required and capable of supporting and implementing technology projects as a facilitator and knowledge expert
■Experience in managing new technology evaluations
■Ability to work effectively in a team environment, leads peers to decisions, identify issues, and prepare solutions
■Energetic and self-motivated team player with ability to work effectively and cooperatively with project and infrastructure teams and create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers and vendors
■Time and priority management skills
■Database clustering technologies including VCS/ RAC, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, APEX, DBArtisan, and Autosys preferred
■Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
■Prior experience in the finance industry

Years of Experience Required: More than 5 years

This is a 6-12 month contract position for a large client on Miami, Florida. They are  looking for a person who they can potentially hire full time after the contract. The immediate need to support some internal projects and also do maintenance while helping some people on the team. This role can transition into a project manager role as well.

1. Minimum 3-5 years of working knowledge of mapping and support of Gentran  maps
2. Experience with B2B and A2A Integration
3. Should have knowledge of X12 EDI Transactions
4. Should be able to work with XML using Gentran for Unix
5. Migration experience from Gentran to GIS is a plus although not a requirement
6. Should be a self-starter and independent team worker who know how to run with  problems and solutions himself
7. Be a team member and should be  able to work in a collaborative environment.
